Why did the data loss occur?

When a company, government agency, nonprofit organization or any other business experiences a data loss due to ransomware, malware, or employee sabotage, the first reaction and course of action is typically how do we get our data (information) back. This is of course very understandable. What’s missing from the equation all too often is a postmortem of how did the loss actually occur. To a degree this is reasonable as well. After all, it is likely that the organization has been without its data for a while, so, business has been interrupted, and no doubt things have been chaotic. After the dust settles though, it is imperative that a full investigation be conducted.

Why is this so important? If you don’t know how, or where the breakdown occurred, how will you prevent it in the future? Are you using the right tools and services for your business today versus those deployed as recently as one year ago?

Regularly reviewing your data backup services ought not be a burden or a complicated process. If your current IT provider is telling you otherwise, they are wrong.

When is the last time you had a data backup checkup? If you are unsure, or the system has not been tested, or you still have questions, please email or call us today at 610-866-2828 for further guidance and information.
